Beyond my research endeavors, I am an advocate for science outreach by serving as the host of The Happy Botanist Podcast. As anthropogenic disturbances become more common and severe, I also aim to investigate how microbially-driven carbon and nitrogen dynamics respond to perturbation. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.S. in Ecology and Evolution and Washington State University with a M.S. in Botany.
